Logistics in Dubai is a business built on reliability. A trading company in a free zone that needs containers cleared and trucked from Jebel Ali, an e-commerce brand looking for a fulfilment partner, a manufacturer in Sharjah shipping across the GCC: each of them needs a logistics company that answers quickly, handles paperwork properly and delivers on time. More and more of those buyers start by searching online, especially when they are new to the UAE or managing operations from abroad. So when you decide to hand your visibility to an outside partner, the choice matters. You are handing over the first impression every new client will have of your company.
This guide sets out the criteria to check, the red flags to spot and the list of things you should get in writing before signing anything.
What you are really buying
Before comparing agencies, be clear about the outcome. You are not buying a nicer website, a social media calendar or follower counts. You are buying enquiries: shippers, procurement teams and business owners looking for a logistics partner in Dubai who find you at the moment they are deciding. Any agency that talks mostly about activities rather than that outcome deserves some hard questions.
The criteria that matter
They understand your business and your market
A good partner asks about your services, your lanes, your typical cargo, your key accounts and your busy seasons. They understand that a one-off cross-border move and a long-term contract logistics deal are very different searches with very different buyers. They know that your clients may be in Dubai, Riyadh, Mumbai or London.
They commit to what they control
Nobody can promise what Google or an AI assistant will decide. A serious partner can, however, commit to what they will deliver, by when, and what happens if they miss that date. That commitment should be written, specific and backed by a remedy.
They let you check the work
You should be able to follow results in your own tools, including a Search Console account in your company's name, and receive dated reports at regular intervals. Transparency is not a nice extra. It is the only way to know whether your money is working.
They limit how many of your competitors they serve
For a search such as freight forwarder in Dubai or last-mile delivery partner in the UAE, only a few positions really count. An agency that works for every logistics firm in the emirate cannot honestly fight for the same positions on behalf of all of them. Ask how many companies in your sector they serve in your area.
Red flags
- A promise of the top spot. The clearest warning sign: whoever promises it either does not understand what they are selling or is not telling you the truth.
- A low price with a vague scope. If you cannot say exactly what will be delivered each month, you will have nothing to hold them to.
- Accounts in the agency's name. Your website, logins and data should belong to your company.
- No checkpoint. A long commitment without a measured review leaves you without recourse for months.
- Jargon used to impress. A good partner talks about clients, enquiries and revenue, not technical vocabulary.
What to get in writing
Before signing, get a document that sets out at least:
- the total cost over the commitment, setup included;
- what will be delivered and by when;
- the remedy if delivery is late;
- how often you will receive reports, and what they contain;
- the date of the first review and what it will measure;
- the maximum number of competitors served in your sector and area;
- who owns your website and your accounts.

How Traffic Engine measures up
Traffic Engine is Kolonell's service for making your logistics company visible when buyers search for a partner like you, on Google and in the answers of AI assistants. Everything your plan includes goes live on schedule, or the following month is free. You get a dated report every week and follow results in your own Search Console, with a measured review at three months. Kolonell guarantees delivery and measurement, not what Google or an AI assistant decides.
Each sector is capped at 3 standard seats per area. While none has been taken, the exclusive plans let you lock logistics in your area for the full commitment. Pricing is public: the Visibility Audit is AED 2,900, the setup is AED 6,000 (with the audit deducted if you start within 30 days), then Presence at AED 4,500, Momentum at AED 7,900 or Flood at AED 14,500 a month, over 12 months. Kolonell ran the approach on its own website first, and the curves are on the offer page. See the offer and seat availability for logistics companies in Dubai.
Where to start
Whoever you end up choosing, start with a clear picture of where you stand. The free website score at the top of the Traffic Engine page gives you a first benchmark in seconds. For a full diagnosis against your competitors, the audit is delivered within 48 business hours. Our guide on what a visibility audit should tell you explains what to expect from it. You can also message the team directly on WhatsApp and get a reply within 24 business hours.
