Most accountants who look at investing in visibility have already accepted the principle. They know that founders, growing companies and business owners switching firms now research their accountant online before booking a first meeting. The question they actually wrestle with is narrower: which plan suits my practice, my ambitions and the competition in my area? Choose too small and you stay invisible next to firms that are more determined. Choose too big and you pay for a flow of enquiries your team cannot handle at year end.
This guide helps you decide using Traffic Engine's plans and the prices shown on the offer page, nothing else.
The plans at a glance
Every plan follows the same structure: a one-time setup of €1,500, from which the €690 Visibility Audit is deducted if you start within 30 days, then a monthly fee on a 12-month commitment with a measured review at three months.
| Plan | Positioning | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| Presence | Entry seat, steady baseline visibility | €1,100 |
| Momentum | Growth seat, the most common choice | €1,900 |
| Flood | Intensive seat | €3,500 |
| Momentum Exclusive | Sector locked in your area | €3,900 |
| Flood Exclusive | Sector locked, intensive pace | €5,900 |
Including setup, the first year comes to €14,700 for Presence, €24,300 for Momentum and €43,500 for Flood. These are Traffic Engine's own prices, not a benchmark for the industry. Prices in other currencies are on the offer page.
Three questions that decide the plan
How much new work can your practice absorb?
Start with capacity rather than budget. How many new clients can your team onboard each month without letting existing returns, payroll runs or year-end accounts slip? A two-partner practice with a handful of staff has far less room than a firm of twenty with dedicated tax and advisory teams. A plan that brings in more enquiries than you can serve adds nothing to the bottom line and can dent your reputation.
What do you want the next 12 months to deliver?
Do you want to stabilise your client base, grow it meaningfully, or become the go-to firm in your area for a particular kind of work, such as start-ups, contractors, landlords or owner-managed companies? The stronger the ambition, the stronger the plan needs to be.
How crowded is your local market?
A practice in a market town where few competitors are visible online does not need the same effort as one in a large city centre where dozens of firms chase the same searches. The Visibility Audit exists to measure exactly that before you commit.
Which plan for which practice
Presence suits a newer practice, or one that first wants a steady, reliable presence online in an area where competition is moderate. It is an entry seat: your firm becomes findable when someone looks for an accountant nearby, without aiming for a large flow of enquiries.
Momentum is the most common choice, and the right one for most established firms that want to grow. It fits a practice that can take on several new clients a quarter and wants to win ground from competitors. If you are torn between two plans, this is usually the one that balances ambition and budget best.
Flood is for the firm aiming for strong growth in a highly competitive city, or trying to lead on several service lines at once. It assumes a team that responds quickly and a real plan for hiring as work comes in.
Exclusive plans lock the accounting sector in your area: no other firm can sign with Kolonell during your commitment. They are only offered while no standard seat has been taken in the sector. Our guide on limited seats per sector explains why places are capped.
Running the numbers for your own firm
The right plan is the one that pays for itself within a sensible timeframe given your goals. Start from what a new client is worth to you over a year, then remember that accounting clients often stay for many years, so each one keeps paying back long after the first engagement letter. The calculator on the offer page runs this for you and allows for the slower first three months.
Our guide on how many clients an accounting firm needs to break even walks through the calculation, and the one on what visibility budget an accounting firm should plan compares the investment with hiring or advertising.
Mistakes to avoid
The first is picking the cheapest plan by reflex in a market where competitors already invest heavily: you end up paying to stay behind them. The second is the reverse, choosing an intensive plan without the team to follow through. The third is waiting. Seats are capped at 3 per sector and per area, and exclusivity disappears as soon as a first firm signs. The competitor who decides before you can take the seat you wanted.
What you get on every plan
Every Traffic Engine plan makes your firm visible when prospective clients search for an accountant in your area, on Google and in AI assistant answers. You receive a dated report every week, follow results in your own Search Console, and what your plan includes goes live on schedule or the following month is free. Kolonell guarantees delivery and measurement, not what Google or an AI assistant decides. Compare the plans on the offer page and check which seats remain open in your area.
Making the call
If you are unsure, start with the Visibility Audit: it measures where you stand against other firms in your area and recommends the right plan, with a report within 48 working hours. You can also test your assumptions in the return calculator or send your questions on WhatsApp; the team replies within 24 working hours.
