Dental practices: Presence, Momentum, Flood or exclusive, which plan fits?

Solo dentist or multi-chair clinic, quiet suburb or crowded city centre: how a dental practice should choose between the Traffic Engine visibility plans.

· 5 min read · Kolonell

A dentist who has just opened a single-chair practice and a group clinic running five surgeries want very different things. The first needs a full diary and a name in the neighbourhood. The second wants patients for higher-value treatment, such as implants, aligners and cosmetic work, often from further afield. Yet both reach the same question when they decide to invest in being found: which plan, and how much, without wasting money?

This guide helps you choose between the Traffic Engine plans using three simple tests: the size of your practice, your ambition for the next twelve months, and how crowded your local market already is. All prices quoted are the ones on the offer page and nothing else.

How the offer is structured

Every plan follows the same path. You start with a Visibility Audit at €690, which reviews how your practice shows up on Google and in AI assistant answers, benchmarks you against other practices in your area and sets out a plan. The report lands within 48 working hours, and the audit is fully deducted from the setup if you start within 30 days. The one-time setup is €1,500. Then comes the monthly plan, on a 12-month commitment with a measured review at three months.

What changes between plans is the intensity of the work done on your behalf and the position you hold in your sector. Each sector is capped at 3 standard seats per area, each with its own positioning. Our guide on limited seats per sector explains the reasoning.

Presence: the entry seat

Presence costs €1,100 a month. It gives you steady, baseline visibility, so that your practice appears when someone looks for a dentist nearby, on Google and in AI assistants.

It suits a solo or two-dentist practice in a smaller town or a suburb where few competitors are actively working on being found. If your diary has a few gaps each week and most patients live locally, Presence is often enough for new residents, families switching dentist and weekend emergencies to find you.

Its limit is clear: in a large city where several clinics already invest heavily in visibility, baseline presence may not be enough to get ahead of them on the searches that matter most, such as implants or private orthodontics.

Momentum: the growth seat

Momentum costs €1,900 a month and is the most common choice. It is built for practices that want to grow: filling a second chair, building a specialist service, or drawing patients from beyond the immediate area.

For dentistry, the case for Momentum rests on treatment value. A patient who comes in for aligners or implants is usually worth far more over time than a check-up, and they often bring the rest of the family with them. Rather than guess, use the calculator on the offer page: enter what a new patient is worth to you and see how many extra patients a month cover the plan.

Flood: the intensive seat

Flood costs €3,500 a month. It is the seat for practices and clinics in a tight race: a major city, several competitors already highly visible, and a clear goal of becoming the go-to name for a particular treatment.

Flood makes sense when the revenue at stake is high and the competition is real. A multi-chair clinic with associates and hygienists who can absorb a steady stream of new patients has every reason to occupy the ground rather than share it. A solo dentist with a full book, on the other hand, has no reason to pay for intensity they cannot convert into appointments.

Exclusive plans: locking your sector

Momentum Exclusive at €3,900 a month and Flood Exclusive at €5,900 a month add a strong guarantee: for the whole commitment, no other dental practice in your area can work with Traffic Engine. You are not one of 3 seats; you are the only one.

Exclusivity can only be bought while the sector is still empty in your area. As soon as a competitor signs a standard seat, the option disappears. It mostly appeals to group clinics that intend to lead their city and do not want a rival benefiting from the same service.

How to decide in practice

Ask yourself three questions, in this order.

  1. How many new patients can you take each month? If the diary is nearly full and there is no spare chair time, an intensive plan will not pay off. Presence or Momentum will do.
  2. How crowded is your market? Search for a dentist in your area on a phone that does not know you. If three or four clinics already dominate, Momentum is the minimum and Flood is worth discussing.
  3. Are you willing to share your sector? If not, and the sector is still open, exclusivity is the only way to be sure.

The audit often settles the question for you, because it compares your practice with the others in your area. To put the figures in the context of your overall spend, read our guide on setting a visibility budget for a dental practice.

What every plan has in common

Whichever plan you choose, the commitments are the same. What your plan includes goes live on schedule, or the next month is free. You get a dated report every week. You track results in your own Search Console rather than in a closed dashboard. And nobody promises you first place, because no honest provider controls what Google or an AI assistant decides. The 12-month horizon, explained in why a 12-month commitment, gives visibility time to build and then accelerate.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan suits a single-dentist practice?

Usually Presence at €1,100 a month or Momentum at €1,900 a month. Presence is enough if few local competitors are actively working on visibility and you mainly want to fill gaps in the diary. Momentum makes more sense if you are building a specialist service or several nearby clinics are already very visible.

When is Flood worth it for a dental clinic?

Flood, at €3,500 a month, is worth considering for a multi-chair clinic in a large city where competitors are already highly visible, with a team that can absorb many new patients. If you cannot see more patients than you do today, extra intensity will not translate into extra revenue.

What does an exclusive plan give a dental practice?

With Momentum Exclusive at €3,900 or Flood Exclusive at €5,900 a month, no other dental practice in your area can work with Traffic Engine during your commitment. The option only exists while the sector is empty: once a competitor signs a standard seat, it is withdrawn.

What do I pay before the monthly plan starts?

You start with the Visibility Audit at €690, which reviews your practice and your competitors and recommends the right plan. If you go ahead within 30 days, its full cost is deducted from the €1,500 one-time setup. The monthly plan then runs for 12 months, with a measured review at three months.

Is the plan priced differently in my currency?

Yes. The offer page shows the full price grid in several currencies, including pounds, dollars and dirhams, so you can see the exact figures that apply to your market. The structure stays the same everywhere: audit, one-time setup, then a monthly plan on a 12-month commitment.
