B2B services firm: Presence, Momentum or Flood, which plan fits?

Consulting, HR or IT services: how to choose between Presence, Momentum, Flood or an exclusive plan based on your size, your ambition and your competition.

A B2B services firm sells something nobody can see: advice, a recruitment search, managed IT, a change programme. Its clients never walk past a shop window. A finance director looking for help with a payroll overhaul, a scale-up wanting to outsource its IT support, an operations head who has to hire twenty sales staff for a new region: they all start by searching, comparing a few names, sometimes asking an AI assistant, and then requesting two or three proposals.

If you have already decided to invest in being found at that moment, the next question is practical: which plan? This guide helps you choose between Presence, Momentum, Flood and the exclusive plans, based on your size, your ambition and how crowded your sector is. Every figure quoted comes from the Traffic Engine offer page.

The plans at a glance

Every plan starts with a one-time setup of €1,500, from which the €690 Visibility Audit is deducted if you start within 30 days. Every plan runs on a 12-month commitment, with a measured review at three months and a dated report every week.

PlanPositioningPer monthYear one
PresenceEntry seat, steady baseline visibility€1,100€14,700
MomentumGrowth seat, the most common choice€1,900€24,300
FloodIntensive seat€3,500€43,500
Momentum ExclusiveSector locked€3,900€48,300
Flood ExclusiveSector locked, intensive€5,900€72,300

Presence: who is it for?

Presence suits a firm that is starting out or has limited capacity: a boutique consultancy with two or three partners, a niche HR practice, an IT support company that mostly serves clients in its own business district. The goal is to show up clearly when a client searches for your specialism, without chasing fast growth.

It also makes sense when online competition is thin in your city and field. If nobody is working seriously on visibility for, say, interim finance recruitment in a regional city or managed IT for law firms in a particular area, steady presence can be enough to claim a solid position.

Momentum: the most common choice

Momentum is built for services firms that want to grow: adding consultants, launching a second service line, winning larger accounts. It is the plan most often chosen by owners whose team can absorb more work and who want visibility to keep pace.

For a B2B services firm, the arithmetic tends to work quickly. A managed services contract or a recurring advisory retainer is usually worth a great deal over a year, so one or two new clients can cover the annual investment in Momentum. Run your own figures in the calculator on the offer page to see where your break-even falls.

Flood: when competition is fierce

Flood is an intensive seat. It fits three situations: a heavily contested market, such as recruitment or management consulting in a major city where several firms are already highly visible; a firm that covers several cities or countries; or an owner who needs to close a gap on established competitors quickly.

Geography matters here too. A services firm that sells across borders, from London to Dublin or from Dubai to Riyadh, competes in several markets at once, each with its own set of visible rivals. That breadth is exactly what Flood is designed for.

Flood only makes sense if you can handle the volume of enquiries it aims to generate. A stretched team that leaves enquiries unanswered wastes the investment.

Exclusive plans: locking the vertical

Momentum Exclusive and Flood Exclusive add a strong guarantee: Kolonell will represent no competitor in your vertical, in your area, for the length of the commitment. For a services firm that is valuable protection, because your partner is never working in parallel for the firm across the road.

One condition matters: exclusivity can only be bought while the sector is empty. Once a first standard seat is signed, it is withdrawn. We explain the mechanism in sector exclusivity for a B2B services firm, and the wider principle in limited seats per sector.

Three questions to decide

  1. How many new clients can you serve? If your team can take on two new engagements a quarter, Presence or Momentum is enough. If you are hiring and want to fill capacity fast, look at Flood.
  2. Is your sector contested online? Search for your specialism in your city and ask an AI assistant who to contact. If several competitors already appear, a stronger plan is justified.
  3. Do you want to stop a competitor from moving in? If so, and the sector is still open, exclusivity is the only real protection.

Firms that sell to other businesses face longer buying cycles than consumer brands. Our guide on visibility for a B2B company explains how that should shape your expectations.

What every plan has in common

Whatever the plan, Traffic Engine makes your firm visible when a business searches for your specialism, on Google and in AI assistant answers. You receive a dated report every week, follow results in your own Search Console and get a measured review at three months. If what your plan includes is not live on time, the following month is free. Kolonell commits to delivery and measurement, not to what Google or an AI decides. Compare the plans and check which seats are open in your sector.

Your next step

If you are torn between two plans, the Visibility Audit settles it: it measures your position against competitors and the real potential in your sector, with a report within 48 business hours. You can also test your assumptions in the payback calculator by entering what a client is worth and the plan you are considering.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan suits a small consultancy?

Presence works if your capacity is limited or few competitors are investing in visibility in your city. Momentum is the better fit if you want to grow and can absorb new engagements. For a services firm, one or two recurring clients often cover the annual cost of Momentum, so run your own numbers in the calculator.

What does each plan cost in year one?

Including the €1,500 setup, year one comes to €14,700 on Presence, €24,300 on Momentum and €43,500 on Flood. The exclusive plans come to €48,300 for Momentum Exclusive and €72,300 for Flood Exclusive. Prices in other currencies are listed on the offer page.

Can I switch plans during the commitment?

The measured review at three months is the right moment to discuss it, because it shows the real trajectory in your own Search Console. If demand outstrips your capacity, or competition turns out stronger than expected, the plan can be reviewed with Kolonell on the basis of those figures.

When is exclusivity worth the price?

When your sector is contested, a client is worth a lot to you and you want to stop a competitor from signing with the same partner. It is only available while no standard seat has been signed in your vertical and area, which makes it a decision to take early.

Does Flood guarantee more clients than Momentum?

No plan guarantees a number of clients: nobody controls what Google or an AI assistant decides. Flood is a more intensive seat, suited to contested markets and firms covering several cities. What Kolonell guarantees is that what your plan includes goes live on time, or the next month is free.

Your industry may still be open.
