Construction companies: Presence, Momentum or Flood, which plan fits?

Presence, Momentum, Flood or an exclusive plan: how a construction company should choose its visibility plan based on size, ambition and local competition.

· 5 min read · Kolonell

Nobody chooses a builder the way they choose a coffee shop. A client looking for a construction company is usually planning one of the biggest outlays of their life or their financial year: a family home, a rental building, a warehouse, a full office fit-out. They compare, check references and ask for several quotes. And more and more often, they start with a Google search or a question to an AI assistant: general contractor, commercial builder, office renovation company, followed by the name of their city.

Once you have decided to be visible for those searches, you need to choose a plan. Traffic Engine offers five. This guide helps you match one to your size, your ambition and the competition in your sector, using the prices on the offer page and nothing else.

The five plans at a glance

Every plan starts the same way: a Visibility Audit at $750, fully credited against the $1,650 one-time setup if you go ahead within 30 days. Every plan runs on a 12-month commitment with a measured review at three months and a dated report every week. What changes is the level of intensity and how far you are protected from competitors.

PlanPositioningPer monthYear one (setup included)
PresenceEntry seat, consistent baseline visibility$1,200$16,050
MomentumGrowth seat, the most common choice$2,100$26,850
FloodIntensive seat$3,850$47,850
Momentum ExclusiveSector locked, Momentum intensity$4,250$52,650
Flood ExclusiveSector locked, Flood intensity$6,450$79,050

Presence: for the firm that wants to be found at all

Presence suits a smaller construction business, often a specialist trade such as electrical, plumbing, roofing, flooring or glazing, or a firm focused on one town. It cannot run many jobs at once, but it wants to stop relying solely on the owner's contacts and on referrals from architects and surveyors.

With Presence, the goal is to appear consistently when someone searches for your trade in your area. It is also a sensible way to measure what visibility brings before going further. For many contractors, a single additional job in the year covers the $16,050 of year one.

Momentum: for the firm that wants to grow

Momentum is the most common choice. It fits a general contractor or an established construction SME with a crew, equipment and the appetite to fill its order book more predictably: custom homes, small multi-unit buildings, commercial fit-outs for local businesses.

Momentum aims for clear progress on the searches that matter to your work. For a firm where each project is a significant contract, the real question is not the cost of the plan but whether it brings in a few more serious enquiries every quarter.

Flood: for the firm that wants to lead its area

Flood is the intensive seat. It suits a well-established company that can run several sites at once, covers several trades or cities, and faces competitors who are already highly visible. If rivals show up strongly whenever someone searches for your service, Flood gives you the means to close the gap faster.

Flood only makes sense if your delivery capacity keeps up. Generating enquiries your crews cannot handle on time would be money poorly spent.

Exclusive plans: for locking the sector

Momentum Exclusive and Flood Exclusive carry the intensity of Momentum and Flood with one extra guarantee: no competitor from your vertical is served in your area for the 12 months of your commitment. For a contractor going after the larger private projects in its city, or one that knows a direct rival is weighing the same move, that protection can be decisive.

One caveat: exclusivity can only be bought while the sector is empty. Each sector has 3 standard seats per area, and as soon as the first is signed the exclusive option disappears. Our guide on limited seats per sector explains why.

Three questions that settle it

  1. What is your capacity? How many new projects can you take on per quarter without hurting quality or schedules? Limited capacity points to Presence, large capacity to Flood.
  2. What is your twelve-month ambition? To be found at all, to grow, or to become the reference in your area? Each ambition maps to a plan.
  3. Where is your competition? If nobody is visible yet, Presence or Momentum may be enough and exclusivity is still on the table. If competitors are already well placed, Flood catches up faster.

To set your budget before choosing, our guide on the right visibility budget for a construction company gives you benchmarks, and Presence, Momentum or Flood for a clinic walks through the same reasoning for another sector. The payback calculator compares the plans against what a project is actually worth to you.

What stays the same on every plan

Whichever plan you choose, Traffic Engine makes your company visible when clients search for what you do, on Google and in AI assistant answers. What the plan includes goes live on schedule, or the next month is free. You follow results in your own Search Console. Kolonell guarantees delivery and measurement, not what Google or an AI assistant decides, and ran the approach on its own website first, with the curves published on the offer page.

If you are torn between two plans, the Visibility Audit exists for exactly that: it compares your position with your sector and sizes the potential, which makes the choice far easier. See the full offer and check which seats are still open in your area, or send your questions on WhatsApp for a reply within one business day.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan suits a small specialist construction firm?

Presence is usually the right starting point. It provides consistent baseline visibility at $1,200 a month, or $16,050 in year one including setup. It lets you receive enquiries from people who did not know you and measure what visibility brings before considering a more intensive plan.

Why is Momentum the most common choice?

Because it matches the situation of most growing firms: a crew in place, capacity for new projects and a wish to fill the order book more predictably. At $2,100 a month, it aims for clear progress on the searches that matter to your business without the intensity of Flood.

When should a construction company choose Flood?

When it is well established, covers several trades or cities, faces competitors who are already visible and has the delivery capacity to keep up. Flood, at $3,850 a month, helps close the gap with entrenched rivals faster. Generating enquiries your crews cannot handle would be a waste.

What do the exclusive plans add for a contractor?

They lock the sector: no competitor from your vertical is served in your area for the 12 months. Momentum Exclusive costs $4,250 a month and Flood Exclusive $6,450. They are only available while no standard seat has been signed in your sector and area.

Can I change plans during the commitment?

The measured review at three months is the right moment to discuss it: it shows the trajectory and whether your capacity and ambition justify a more intensive plan. The exact terms are agreed with the Kolonell team. Exclusivity depends on whether the sector is still free at the time you ask.

Your industry may still be open.
